Publications

Members receive two publications; a Newsletter and the Green Diamond Magazine.  The cost of both publications is covered in the annual dues. The cover price of the Green Diamond Magazine is $6.50 per issue to non members, and the Newsletter is available only to members.

The Newsletter

The Newsletter is published four times a year, and is mailed on the first working day of March, June, September, and December.  Each issue is typically 4 or 8 pages in length, and contains information on recent events, with pictures when available, up-coming events, actions of the board of directors and other pertinent matters of membership concerns. 

The Green Diamond Magazine

The Green Diamond Magazine is published four times a year, and is mailed on the first working day of February, May, August, and November.  The length is 48 pages, typically containing feature articles with pictures on Illinois Central history, operations, facilities and equipment; membership feedback, modeler's corner, and a column of famous Illinois Central diner chefs' recipes, as well as a range of other information about the Illinois Central and its predecessors.
